The Cleveland Indians are back at Progressive Field for the first time in 2018. Be sure to comment on this post throughout the game to chat with other fans.
The 2018 Cleveland Indians home opener is finally here after a rather rough start to the season on the road.
The Indians return home to take on a Kansas City Royals team that has opened the season with a record of 1-3. That doesn’t mean much this time of year, but hopefully the Indians can take advantage of a team that seems to be in rebuild mode.
And now, the lineup for the opener:

The most notable part of this lineup is the return of Michael Brantley. Terry Francona is wasting no time in getting his All-Star outfielder back in the lineup. Tyler Naquin was sent down to clear space on the roster.
As we did with the season opener, I wanted to post a game thread so fans have a place to chat during today’s game. So be sure to comment on this post to interact with other Indians fans as the game goes on.
I will be at Progressive Field for the game and if my phone doesn’t act up, I should be sharing some sights and sounds on Twitter. I’ll be down by the third base dugout in case anyone wants an official meet and greet.
The weather isn’t great in objective standards, but it is a great day for baseball in Cleveland standards. As long as it doesn’t rain or snow, there is no reason to complain.
