Are you a big Cleveland Indians fan? Do you like to play fantasy baseball? If you answered yes to either of those questions, join the official Believeland Ball fantasy baseball league and play against your favorite site contributors.

The Believeland Ball team has decided to do a readers vs. writers fantasy league for this season and we want you to be a part of it. If you think you can beat five other readers and six writers, check out the details on how to apply here.

How can I join?

It’s easy. Contact us at bbfantasybaseball@gmail.com with your name, email address, and let us know in a paragraph why we should choose you to join our league. We want someone who will be dedicated enough to stay active for the entire season but is creative enough to stand out in a few words. If you feel you’ve got a funny/creative team name already in mind, that’s a plus, but it’s not required at this point in time.

What are the basic rules?

Great question, it’s going to be a 12 team weekly H2H points league on ESPN.com. It will be six writers versus six readers going head to head against each other each week.

We’ll do 8×8 scoring. The offensive categories are hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBIs, stolen bases, walks, and caught stealing. The pitching categories will be: Innings pitched, strikeouts, saves, hits allowed, walks issued, home runs allowed, holds, and quality starts.

The rosters will include one starter at each position, plus two utility spots and the pitching staff will consist of two starting pitchers, two relievers, and four open pitcher spots.

When’s the draft?

That date is still to be determined. But it’s going to be a snake draft that we do live, so everyone needs to be in attendance. So we’ll need you to be available on some evening in mid-March, and if you can’t, let us know ahead of time, but we’ll try to work out a date that everyone can make.

Any weird or quirky rules?

Just one. Each team MUST have one active Cleveland Indians player on their roster. If you don’t have any members of the Tribe on your team, you won’t be able to earn points for that week.

If you end up with Lonnie Chisenhall on your team to start the season, that’s all well and good but if he ends up on the DL, you need to find a different Indians player to put on your roster.
