Cleveland Indians fans are expecting great things from Francisco Lindor in 2018, and the young shortstop is sporting an interesting new look.

Even after all the departures this offseason, the Cleveland Indians are in great shape and are overwhelming favorites to win the American League Central division.

Francisco Lindor is a big reason why.

This will only be Lindor’s third full season with the Indians and he has already set expectations astronomically high.

But the current talk surrounding the young shortstop has nothing to do with his play on the field, but rather the new look he is sporting. Let’s start with the hair.

That is one bold haircut, but you can do whatever you want when you’re one of the stars of the game. And if Lindor has an MVP season, I bet that look may begin showing up as young athletes try to do whatever they can to be like Frankie.

That picture of Lindor’s new hairdo doesn’t tell the whole story of his new look. Did he spend the entire offseason in the gym?

The shortstop seems to be planning to improve upon the 33 home runs he hit in 2017. Adding some muscle never hurts, and Lindor could end up being one of the best power hitting shortstops in the game.

Seeing a commitment to getting better is always a good sign for fans, and we still must realize that Lindor isn’t even 25 years old. He is only going to get better and maybe the new look will spark his first MVP season.

Publicity stunt or the real thing?

Tim Tebow playing in the majors is a sight that will cause some baseball fans to scream out in anger, but if he plays well enough to make it no one should care. The only people who should mind at all are Mets fans if he is playing poorly and hurting the team.

A weak AL Central

Eric Hosmer going to San Diego doesn’t mean the Kansas City Royals are automatically going to be terrible, but it certainly doesn’t help their chances of a playoff run.

This departure sets up the Indians and the Twins as the only real competitors in the division, with the Indians being the far better team.

I won’t make any bold predictions. I’ll just say the Indians have quite the easy route to returning to the postseason.
