The month of February won’t feature any meaningful Cleveland Indians games, but it will feature Spring Training action for excited fans.
This wasn’t the blockbluster January Cleveland Indians fans were hoping for, but good news is right around the corner. Baseball is coming.
The Indians begin Spring Training in February and play some actual games, albeit exhibitions, at the end of the month.
And even though the hot stove has been quiet this offseason, there are still some big names on the market. Maybe the biggest move is yet to come.
The return of actual baseball should help ease some of the tension surrounding the lack of moves as fans remember just how good this team already is with the talent in place. There is a reason no major moves were made.
The pessimism of the offseason is set to make its annual turn into optimism, well, except for the grumpiest of fans out there. But for the rest of us, the return of baseball is better than any other holiday.

Anyone think Omar Vizquel has a chance next year? 2020?
Over the January hump
January always has the potential to be a big month in terms of moves, but the only real news from the month was Jim Thome being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Well, that and the Chief Wahoo news.
The good news is that the market still has some top talent available, so maybe the front office has simply been waiting to strike. If not, this team is still poised for great things in 2018. And it all starts in February out in beautiful Goodyear, Arizona.
