A recent FanSided article goes through the best MLB players under the age of 25, and two Cleveland Indians players received some recognition.
The Cleveland Indians are set to begin a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight, and will do so with one of the best starting lineups in baseball.
Two of the main pieces in the lineup recently made a list of the top 25 MLB players under 25, written by Nicholas Ian Allen on FanSided. Allen’s list had Jose Ramirez in the No. 12 spot, while Francisco Lindor came in at No. 6.
Fans already know that Lindor is one of the best players in the league, but it is nice to see Ramirez receive such a high ranking as well. His breakout season a year ago may have seemed like a fluke to some, but that does not appear to be the case early in 2017.
As for Lindor, he is setting up to be a perennial All-Star and Gold Glove award winner, while his work on offense could even lead to him receiving several Silver Slugger awards. There truly is no ceiling for his potential, as he is already a star at the age of 23.
His game-winning grand slam on Wednesday was a sign of his mental toughness, as it was his second home run on a night in which he made a key error. He never let his emotions get the better of him, and relied on his abilities to get past the mistake.
Both Lindor and Ramirez help form one of the best infields in all of baseball, while also being key pieces in a lineup that doesn’t seem to have a single weak link.

And with Ramirez already signing an extension and Lindor already being under team control for the next several years, these two young players will go from being stars in Cleveland, to stars all over the baseball world.
