The Cleveland Indians finally begin the regular season today, and there are several key storylines to follow in the month of April.

The wait is finally over. Well, it is in a few hours.

The Cleveland Indians begin the 2017 season tonight against the Texas Rangers, with the ultimate goal of a World Series championship being the focus.

But the regular season is filled with countless ups and downs that even thinking about the postseason right now would lead to too much stress. We all just need to try to take it a game at a time, and enjoy the process.

Because this season is going to be filled with many storylines, and that is already true before the team has even played a single game. March saw players go out with injuries, return from injuries, and benefit from other players going out with said injuries.

After a season in which injuries played a major part in the team’s narrative, the bug is back at the beginning of the 2017 season. There are no major injuries as of yet, but this is still the focus as the team begins what should be another fun season.

Winning will solve everything, but let’s now take a look at three main storylines that will be focused on at the outset of the season. Not all directly deal with an injury, but they all stem from one.
