Some Cleveland Indians-themed fantasy baseball matchups may take place tonight as Francisco Lindor could face Andrew Miller in the World Baseball Classic.
The World Baseball Classic has already featured some great action from Cleveland Indians players, and that will continue tonight in San Diego.
Team USA is set to take on Puerto Rico, with the latter looking to improve to 5-0 overall in the tournament.
Puerto Rico features the talents of both Francisco Lindor and Roberto Perez, although the presence of the great Yadier Molina has prevented Perez from seeing too much playing time. However, Lindor has had no such problem.
He has been a fixture in the lineup throughout the tournament, and has even flashed some impressive power.
It seems as if nothing can stop Puerto Rico in the tournament, but the pitching of Team USA may have something to say about that.

But for Indians fans who don’t care much about who wins it all, there is a potential matchup that would be exciting to see.
Andrew Miller faced a single batter two days ago, getting an out and staying fresh for this game against Puerto Rico. Perhaps a Miller vs. Lindor showdown takes place tonight?
It is likely, considering Miller being rested and his reputation as a dominant reliever late in games. If Jim Leyland needs someone to come in and shut down the dominant Lindor, it may take a pitcher who knows the young shortstop best to come in and get it done.
Lindor also knows Miller’s stuff well, but it doesn’t make it any easier to hit that slider when it is on.
Next: 5 position players with something to prove
This remains only a possibility right now, but Indians fans would get a rare glimpse at arguably the two best players from the team squaring off in a meaningful game. It is a rare sight, and one of the beauties of the World Baseball Classic.
