A.M. Wahoo’s: The Magical Run in Cleveland Continues

The Cleveland Indians are following in the footsteps of the Cleveland Cavaliers in looking to bring another championship back to Cleveland.

It’s a good thing the Cleveland Indians don’t have a game today, or else it would be the second coming of the “hangover day.”

The Indians are headed to the World Series for the first time since 1997 and seek to bring the franchise its first title since 1948. Anyone remember those glory days?

The team will look to end the city’s four-month title drought, which is a crazy statement I can’t believe I just typed.

After the Cleveland Cavaliers brought the city its first major championship since 1964 in June, the Indians look to bring another one home in the same year. The World Series still has to be played, but wow is this exciting.

It is almost hard to capture the excitement in words. The power of this team is how well they play as a unit, with different players stepping up each and every night to pull off improbable victories. When the team needs a solid start, Ryan Merritt comes out and does just that.

When the offense needs a boost, several players break out of slumps and give a spark. It is easily one of the most complete teams seen in recent history. There are other teams with more collective talent, but this bunch has come together to do something truly special, and sometimes being a complete team leads to winning a championship.

The excitement in town is going to lead up all the way until next Tuesday, when the Indians will open the World Series right across the street from the Cavaliers, who will be receiving their championship rings. Who ever thought this would happen in Cleveland?
