Taking a look at the news surrounding the Cleveland Indians and the rest of the MLB on the morning of September 7, 2016.
The Cleveland Indians were trying to record the team’s tenth walk-off win of the season Tuesday night, but Brandon Guyer was unable to deliver with the tying run on base.
The offense only managed three runs in the loss to the Houston Astros, while Corey Kluber allowed four. He went seven innings and struck out nine, but the four early runs were the difference.
The good news is that the Detroit Tigers lost too, so the Indians maintain a 4.5-game lead in the AL Central.
