With Mark Shapiro going to Toronto, the offseason is a total mystery for the Tribe. What direction they decide to go in will depend on who’s calling the shots. I feel it’s very unlikely you’re going to see any notable signings by Cleveland, and the biggest news would be if they decide to trade one of their valuable commodity starter’s for more offense.

That’s a move that could make the Anderson/Tomlin math actually makes sense should the Indians deal someone–say possibly, Carrasco. While the Indians may not have had any intention of moving him at this trade deadline, they tested the waters and got a feel for his value. It’s possible they could make that move before nest spring.

Contractual issues, trades, injuries. All these things can make these guys null and void as difference makers for next season. But I think it’s safe to say that at least a couple on this list will step up next season to help lead the Indians to a successful season.
