Cleveland Indians Rumors: Potential Landing Places for David Murpy

The defending World Series champs are having another great year and are locked in a battle with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the NL West title. Both Hunter Pence and Nori Aoki have been on the disabled list this year though both are back now, which may allow the Giants to focus on other areas besides the outfielder.  

While they may not prioritize outfield anymore, getting a guy like Murphy who could start at times or come off the bench could be a huge for the team looking to defend their World Series title. We’ve also seen the Indians and Giants hook up on a trade at the deadline before with the Indians sending Orlando Cabrera for Thomas Neal. They may not be the best fit on the list but I wouldn’t completely rule out the Giants.
