That’s right, we’ve recently had some openings here at Wahoo’s on First, and we’re looking to fill them with dedicated writers.  Ever had interest in starting up a sports journalism career and need that one credit?  Why not write for the site that Trevor Bauer’s viral “Gutter to the Grail” rap was written for?  We’ve also seen special guests on our podcast that include Buster Olney, Jason Parks, Perry Husbands and Zack Meisel.

If you have experience already, great!  If you don’t have much experience, what we’re looking for is a passion and loyalty for Cleveland Indians baseball.  We’re also looking for fluency in baseball statistics, or a strong interest in learning more about them.

Have we gotten your attention?  Send us an application via e-mail to thejake4eternity@gmail.com with the subject heading “Gutter to the Grail”.  In your application, answer the following questions:

1. How long have you been a Cleveland Indians fan?
2. Who is your all-time favorite Cleveland Indian?
3. What kind of writing experience do you have?
4. How often do you think you could write an article for Wahoo’s on First?
5. What is your current level of knowledge about baseball statistics? What is your favorite new-age stat?
6. Who do you think might be a sleeper candidate for the Cleveland Indians in 2014 (No, you cannot take the low-hanging fruit and say Francisco Lindor)? Use statistics and comparables to prove your case.

We hope to hear from you soon!
