McAllister Struggles Again, Hagadone Gives Up Go-Ahead HR

The Cleveland Indians have been practically handing over gift wins lately, and Saturday night was no exception.  The Tribe took a 5-0 lead early in the game partially thanks to getting 7 consecutive men to reach with two outs, but McAllister allowed one too many 2-out RBIs of his own.  After the first man reached in the fifth inning, the Tribe brought on Nick Hagadone, who promptly gave up a 2-run homer to Billy Butler.  The Royals would hold their 7-5 lead through the rest of the game.

The Positives

Carlos Santana homered again , giving him 18 on the year.  He also doubled and walked in the game, bumping his slash line up to a respectable .226/.363/.433.  He continues to be red-hot.  Yan Gomes had another multi-hit game and is closing out his torrid July quite nicely. The 2-out RBIs were a nice reminder of the magic this team had in 2013 as well.

The Negatives

Zach McAllister, obviously.  Along with Justin Masterson and Nick Swisher, he ranks among the biggest disappointments for the Tribe this season.  Chris Dickerson went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts.
