Indians Top Pick Bradley Zimmer Begins Pro Career
Last night Cleveland Indians first round pick Bradley Zimmer made his professional debut with the Indians Short Season Class A affiliate Mahoning Valley Scrappers.

He was the designated hitter and batted third for the Scrappers. He grounded out to first in his first professional plate appearance.
His first hit came on a single to left in the fourth inning off Auburn Doubledays starter Jefry Rodriguez.
He also reached base after being hit by a pitch in the sixth inning before striking out in his final two plate appearances.
Overall he went 1 for 4 with a RBI and the hit by pitch.
