Most of you may already be aware of this by now, but Wednesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim has been postponed due to rain. Indians’ right-hander Justin Masterson and Angels left-hander C.J. Wilson, who were set to start tonight, will start on Thursday afternoon at Progressive Field to finish off the series. Thursday’s game is set to begin at 12:05 PM.

Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reported that the two clubs have mutual off-days on July 28, August 14, and September 8, allowing for a potential make-up date down the road.

The Indians had won 10 straight home games prior to losing on Tuesday  9-3 at the hands of the Halos. With Thursday’s game being the, now, three-game series clincher, the Indians will hope to extend their winning ways at Progressive Field, where the team is 7-3-0 in 10 home series, including winning six of their last seven series.
The Tigers will be coming into Cleveland on Friday for a big, promotion-filled weekend, having gone 5-11 in June and having lost 18 of their last 27 games to fall to second place behind the Kansas City Royals, who have won 10 games in a row. With the Indians at .500 and just 3.5 games out of first place, this will be another test against a better-than-average offensive club for the Tribe.
