Wahoo’s on First Seeking 6 Writers, 2 Artists

Wahoo’s on First is dedicated to providing free, quality content to Cleveland Indians fans.  In order to increase the quantity and consistency of our material, we are always seeking to add new talent to our staff.  Currently, Wahoo’s on First is looking to add 6 new writers and 2 new visual artists to our staff.

For writers, we’re looking for at least 2 of the following criteria.  Any more than that is a bonus.  If you have a powerful interest in writing about the Cleveland Indians, but you don’t think you qualify, we encourage you to apply anyway; it couldn’t hurt to show us what you’ve got, and you might surprise us and yourself.

-Writing experience of some kind

-A passion for Cleveland Indians baseball

-A unique personality or quirky attitude that permeates your writing style

-An aptitude for statistical analysis in the baseball world

-An education in speech and debate or creative writing

-Dedication to being punctual and consistent with deadlines

For artists, we’re looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications.  Again, if you’re not sure you qualify, apply anyway and at least give yourself the chance to try and beat out the competition.

-Education in visual arts

-Experience in painting, drawing, sketching, graphic design, etc.

-A passion for Cleveland Indians baseball

-A unique artistic style that sets you apart from other artists

-An aptitude for designing logos, advertisements, cover pages, etc.

-Dedication to being punctual and consistent with deadlines
