Indians Looking for Two Game Sweep

After last night’s exciting 3-2 victory over the Tigers, the Indians will be back at it again this afternoon looking to sweep their bitter rivals. It won’t be an easy task because the Indians will have their hands full with what the Tigers will be throwing at them. Literally.

Taking the mound for the Tigers in today’s game is former Cycle Young and MVP Award winner Justin Verlander. He comes into today’s game with a 11-1 record and a 2.57 ERA. In his previous start, Verlander went 7 innings and allowed only 2 runs to the Padres.

Meanwhile, the Indians will counter with Danny Salazar. As we all know; Salazar is coming off a tough start in which he made history by striking out 10 White Sox in less than 4 innings of work, but also took the loss. He comes into this start with an 0-1 record and inflated 6.75 ERA.

As for the lineups, not much has changed from last night for either team as they will roll out with virtually identical lineup cards.
