Details:

Jason Kipnis, our second round draft pick in 2009, continues to prove himself on the big league stage. After a rough start to the season, Kipnis seems to have regained his confidence and is now officially on fire. With tonight’s performance, our young second baseman has raise his batting line to .244/.313/.496, numbers we are more accustomed to seeing from him. If he keeps this up, he may make his first all-star game appearance.

In Friday’s game, Jason Kipnis hit his first walk-off home run of the year, a well-timed three-run shot over the right field wall in the bottom of the tenth inning. It was his seventh home run on the year, and only his second outside of the first inning. Kipnis keeps proving that he is going to be a phenomenal part of the Tribe’s future.
