0-5 Indians Rally Falls Short In Ninth

For the first time in 24 years, The Cleveland Indians are 0-5. Cliff Lee looked a little sharper in his second outting but got strapped with the loss.  Cleveland put together a nice rally in the 9th inning but came up a little short in dropping their 5th straight and remaining the only winless team in the AL.

Roy Halladay went 7 strong innings for Toronto yielding only one run on five hits improving to 2-0 on the new season.  Halladay is a consistent winner and looked like it Saturday afternoon in Cleveland.

Mark DeRosa had a big three-run double in the ninth, but Cleveland still fell a run short.  Asdrubal Cabrera scored a couple of runs and stole a base despite being held hitless.  Grady Sizemore doubled home Cabrera in the 5th inning  for Cleveland’s only other run.

Anthony Reyes gets the ball for the first time tomorrow opposing Toronto and David Purcey.  First pitch is scheduled for 1:05.
