Goodyear Company Hosts Ohio Fan Appreciation Day this Saturday

This pertains to those who will be around Goodyear this weekend – Saturday, March 7th to be exact.  There will be an “Ohio Fan Appreciation Day,” a spring training event hosted by Estrella by Newland Communities.  The best part?  Bob Feller and other notable retired Indians players will be signing autographs.

Estrella by Newland Communities is scheduled to host a spring training event dubbed “Ohio Fan Appreciation Day” on Saturday, March 7 in honor of the new Goodyear Ballpark and visiting Cleveland Indians fans. The event will be held at Estrella’s Lakeside Amphitheatre from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. preceding the Cleveland Indians vs. Kansas City Royals game. At the event’s conclusion, guests will be transported via trolley to the Goodyear Ballpark in time for the opening pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.

Estrella’s “Ohio Fan Appreciation Day” will feature autograph signing by Hall of Fame pitcher, Bob Feller, along with other notable retired Cleveland Indians players including Jack Heidemann, Bob Lacey, Bob Owchinko, and Lou Klimchock. In addition to fans having the opportunity to meet baseball legends, guests will also be able to participate in various baseball related activities, including pitching contests, relay races, and trivia games.

“The Goodyear Ballpark is a great addition to the City of Goodyear and the Estrella community,” said Greg Bielli, president of Newland Communities’ western region. “We wanted to do something special to welcome Cleveland Indians fans and thought hosting an “Ohio Fan Appreciation Day” would be the perfect opportunity.”
